Pediatric Services

Pediatric optometry is concerned with eye diseases, visual development, and eye care in children. Even with patients at a young age, we can diagnose eye misalignment, disorders, and eye movement problems. According to the American Optometric Association, children should have their first eye exam with an optometrist at 6 months of age. For children between the ages of 6-12 months we offer exams through the InfantSEE program, providing each child with an eye assessment at no cost, regardless of your insurance.

Your child should see an optometrist if they are experiencing any of the following:

  • Squinting

  • Tilting head

  • Covering one eye

  • Sitting too close to the television or holding hand held devices too close to their face

  • Excessively rubbing eyes

  • Complaining of headaches or eye pain

  • Having difficulty concentrating on school work

  • Have a family history of eye problems
